Standard Bio Diesel

Standard Bio Diesel distributes B99.9 and B20 biodiesel to the entertainment industry, home delivery and other fleets. We have undergone rigorous training in all aspects of biodiesel at the Iowa Energy Center affiliated with Iowa State University in Ames Iowa. We specialize in the entertainment industry because we have over 35 years combined experience in that industry, and we understand its specific demands and intricacies. We are committed to helping the environment and working conditions for everyone. Using biodiesel supports a reduction in global warming, and provides a healthier environment for casts, crews and the communities in which they work. With our knowledge and experience in film and biodiesel, we are able to seamlessly incorporate both industries for their mutual benefit.

Biodiesel:

Biodiesel is an alternative fuel produced from renewable resources, such as soybean oil, rapeseed (canola oil), or animal fats. It can be used in any diesel engine without any modifications. 100% biodiesel or B100 may be used alone or blended with petroleum diesel. A common blend is B20, which is 20% biodiesel and 80% petroleum diesel.

Biodiesel is safe to handle, store and use. It uses the same infrastructure as petroleum diesel, so transportation, storage and distribution remain the same. The outstanding aspects of biodiesel: high lubricity, high cetane index and flash point enhance the performance of diesel fuel when combined with petroleum diesel.
